12:22 PM. Robert Fulton Fire Company along with units from Quarryville Fire Company (57), Union Fire Company of Oxford (CHE 21), Community Fire Company of Rising Sun (CEC 8), Water Witch Fire Company (CEC 7), and Wakefield Ambulance were dispatched for a garage fire at 498 Little Britain Church Rd in Fulton Township.
Chief 89 (R. Glick) arrived on the scene with a one story two car detached garage with heavy smoke showing, and assumed command.
Eng 89-1 (Lt. Nolt W/6) arrived and pulled 2 attack lines. The first hose line entered the building and found fire in the ceiling while the second hose line remained outside to protect the exposure. Tanker 89 (FF Petersheim W/2) arrived and supplied water to Eng 1. Eng 89-3 (FF Childress W/4) arrived and sent manpower to assist Eng 1’s crew with extinguishment and overhaul. Truck 57 arrived and sent manpower to the scene to help open up and check for pockets of fire in the walls and ceiling. Tanker 57 arrived and staged on the scene for water supply.
The incident was listed under control at 12:41 PM after which command recalled the remainder of the responding apparatus that were not on scene.
