At about 12:10 PM, Station 89 was dispatched for a working fire at 1161 Pilgrims Pathway . Chief Tomlinson arrived on scene with smoke showing and a working fire that began in the kitchen area. Engine 891 arrived with six and advanced lines to begin fighting the interior fire . Fire had extended into the interior ceiling. Engine 574's crew arrived on scene and went to the inside and began pulling ceilings. Rescue 57 went to the roof and started cutting vent holes .
Tanker 89 hooked up to engine 891 in case they needed water. Engine 893, Rescue 50 , Tanker 58 , Engine 813 Cecil County Maryland arrived on scene and helped with manpower. Engine 895 brought drinks and snacks.
A special thanks to engine 891 for their quick response and the extinguishing of the fire, which they only used 375 gallons of water. Units were on the scene for 1 hour and 35 minutes. We would like to thank all units and help who responded, especially for Cecil engine 28 and Tanker 58 who were on standby at our station when they were released from scene .
