At 4:40 PM the Robert Fulton volunteers were once again called out for a tree down across the roadway.
Deputy 5-13 (R. Sample) responded and was advised by Lancaster County 911 that the Pennsylvannia State Police had received a call reporting a large tree with wires down across the roadway.
Deputy 5-13 arrived with a 2 1/2 foot round tree across the road which had also streched the phone lines down to the ground along the side of the road. Deputy 5-13 then placed a phone call to Drumore Township Roadmaster Kolin McCauley and requested he respond with a loader.
Engine 5-13-5 (Asst. Hodgden W/5) arrived and were intructed to cut the tree and prepare to winch it off to the side of the road as far as we could until the loader arrives.
Just as Engine 5 reached its limit the Drumore Township loader arrived and finished the job.
The phone lines were left as they were due to the extream pressure forced on the wires and a work order was placed to Frontier Communications via LCWC.
The company was clear of the scene at 5:23.
