Robert Fulton Volunteers Assist Union Fire Co. on the 4 Alarm Building Fire.

4:28 PM The Robert Fulton Fire Company was dispatched as part of the working fire dispatch to assist the Union Fire Company at 155 Barnsley Road in East Nottingham Township, Chester County, for a large commercial building fire.
Engine 5-13-1 (FF R. Nolt W/5), Engine 5-13-3 (FF Petersheim W/5), Rescue 5-13 (Lt. Stoltzfus W/6), and Tanker 5-13 (FF. Heidinger W/2) all made the response within minutes after dispatch.
Once on scene, Engine 5-13-1 was instructed to supply Union Fire Company Engine 21-1 and Community Fire Company of Rising Sun Engine 813 while drafting from Tanker 21 while its crew was sent to the manpower pool. Tanker 5-13 was instructed to transfer its load of water into Tanker 21 then head out to a fill site to get reloaded. Rescue 5-13’s crew was sent to the manpower pool also while Engine 3’s crew was directed to set up a draft site at Herr’s Angus Farm off of Stoney Lane to fill tankers.
All 5-13 crews spent the next 8 1/2 hours working with crews from the tri-state area to extinguish this stubborn fire.
The last 5-13 units cleared from the scene at 1:05 AM.
