Heavy rain destroyed a bridge on Balance Mill Road in Little Britain Township. The bridge, which carries the occupants of seven homes as well as the electricity to the small community just off of Camp Road, was completely wash away by the raging flood waters late Friday evening.
Robert Fulton volunteers along with the PA State Police were dispatched to the scene at 9:08 PM to asses the damage and to close the road.
A ladder truck from the Quarryville Fire Company was later called to the scene to assist the PA State Police as well as enable us to set up road closed signs on the other side of the bridge.
All units cleared the scene at 10:55 PM.
